Staff Roles are how a team member is assigned access to tools in Play MPE v8. Multiple roles can be assigned to a team member. All staff members have access to the Reporting tool.
What are the staff roles?
The Upload Service role is a unique role that is exclusive to certain staff who only can create releases using the restricted Upload Service tool. These create releases that are finished by internal Play MPE staff. Once they sign in, Upload Service role users will see the Submit Release Request button.
Note: Anyone given this role in Staff Manager will have all other roles removed. All other roles do not have the same restriction.
This role gives the user access to Releases and Assets. This user can upload and assemble audio assets and use these assets to create releases and assign them to recipients.
A Release Sharer, through the Release Sharing section, can take existing releases and share to different labels. Someone who has Release Sharer but not Release Manager cannot create release content but can still distribute.
Someone with this role can access the Labels section and create sub-labels of their parent label.
A List Manager organizes lists of recipients, adds or imports recipients to lists and assigns lists to different labels through the Lists main menu link.
Using Staff in the main menu, the Staff Manager creates users and assigns them roles.
